MSC Cruises has officially opened sales for its newest World Class ship, MSC World Atlantic, set to debut from Port Canaveral in November 2027. The line’s latest innovative vessel will sail alternating 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, giving guests access to some of the region’s most iconic destinations—including Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, the cruise line’s award-winning private island in The Bahamas.
And in true MSC fashion, the announcement arrived with star power and a touch of humor, courtesy of actress and talk-show host Drew Barrymore.
🌟 Drew Barrymore Returns—Now as the “Cool God Aunt.”
Barrymore, who christened sister ship MSC World America, appeared in a playful video released alongside the announcement. Speaking from the elegant Top Sail Lounge of the MSC Yacht Club, she joked about how quickly her “goddaughter” ship is growing—and how the arrival of a new World Class vessel now makes her the "god aunt."
“Once I cut that ribbon last April, I went from shy to totally honored,” Barrymore said. “And now that pride extends to being MSC World Atlantic’s god aunt. I’ll be the cool god aunt! And I know people will love sailing on the new ship when it arrives in Port Canaveral in 2027.”
