MSC Cruises has released new images of MSC World Asia, giving cruisers a closer look at one of the upcoming flagship’s most eye-catching onboard features: The Spiral @ Tree of Life, which MSC says will become the longest dry slide at sea.

The new World Class ship is currently under construction at Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France. MSC World Asia is scheduled to begin Mediterranean cruises on December 4, 2026, sailing 7-night itineraries that include destinations such as Barcelona, Marseille, Messina, Civitavecchia for Rome, Naples and Valletta.

At the center of the experience is the Tree of Life, a dramatic new structure located inside The Harbour, MSC World Asia’s outdoor family-focused district. The space is designed as a place for families to gather, play, relax and enjoy outdoor dining and entertainment while at sea.

From the Tree of Life, an elevated walkway will lead directly to The Spiral @ Tree of Life. The dry slide will stretch 266 feet and span 12 decks, offering a fast and memorable way to move through the ship while also serving as a signature attraction. The slide connects guests down to the World Promenade, one of the ship’s major open-air spaces for ocean views, dining, entertainment and relaxation.

The Tree of Life itself is designed to be more than just an entrance to the slide. During the day, it will act as a visual landmark and social meeting point within The Harbour. At night, the structure will transform with lighting, music and activities, helping turn the area into an evening entertainment hub.

MSC says the Tree of Life will rise 32 feet above the deck, weigh close to eight tons, and feature more than 492 feet of integrated LED lighting, allowing the space to change its look and atmosphere throughout the day. The design also ties into MSC World Asia’s broader Asia-inspired identity. According to MSC Cruises, the Tree of Life takes inspiration from contemporary Asian cities and the Supertrees at Singapore’s Marina Bay.

MSC World Asia will be the third ship in MSC Cruises’ World Class series, following MSC World Europa and MSC World America. The ship is expected to continue the class’s focus on large-scale public spaces, family attractions, international dining, entertainment and MSC’s European design style with global influences. For families, The Harbour and The Spiral @ Tree of Life are shaping up to be among the ship’s most recognizable features, giving MSC World Asia a major outdoor attraction that doubles as both transportation and entertainment.
