Carnival Jubilee Successfully Completes Sea Trails

Carnival Jubilee

Carnival Cruise Line's highly anticipated Carnival Jubilee has triumphantly concluded its first full round of sea trials, marking a significant step towards its grand debut in Galveston, Texas, on Dec. 23. The sea trials, held on Nov. 14, were conducted by a team of dedicated officers, technicians, and engineers who rigorously tested the ship's technical, mechanical, and navigational systems.

Captain Andrea Catalani expressed satisfaction with the vessel's performance during the trials, stating, "Our all-new Carnival Jubilee performed extremely well through each test we put her through this past week. Now, shortly, we'll start cruising, and our team is prepared to welcome our guests from Galveston onto this beautiful new ship."

Carnival Jubilee, the first Carnival ship to be built in Germany, is scheduled to officially join the fleet upon delivery by the renowned shipbuilder Meyer Werft in Papenburg on Dec. 4. Notably, the ship proudly displays a Texas star on its bow, paying homage to Galveston, its homeport. The vessel boasts unique concepts in sea-themed zones, promising guests an immersive experience with delectable food and beverage options, including the intriguing Dr. Inks, Ph.D Bar. Technological innovations and design elements will transport passengers from a sunlit pier-like "boardwalk" to an adventurous ocean-floor promenade.

Setting itself apart, Carnival Jubilee is the cruise line's third ship to be powered by a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) propulsion system. The ship introduces stunning features such as the top-deck rollercoaster BOLT: The Ultimate Seacoaster, alongside guest favorites like Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse and Shaquille O'Neal's Big Chicken restaurant.

Once officially inducted into the fleet, Carnival Jubilee is set to embark on year-round journeys to popular Caribbean destinations, including Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico, and Mahogany Bay (Roatan). The vessel's diverse offerings and cutting-edge attractions promise an unforgettable cruising experience for passengers, making it a noteworthy addition to Carnival Cruise Line's impressive fleet. As excitement builds, anticipation grows for the ship's debut voyage from Galveston later this year.
