Disney Cruise Line announced today at the D23 expo some amazingly exciting news about the future of Disney Cruise Line.
First, Disney is creating a new private destination called Lighthouse point on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas. This island is said to be "saturated with Bahamian culture with a hint of Disney magic! In addition to bringing guests a new destination, Disney is keeping the environment as it's number one priority. The new private island will serve to forward their understanding of nature and their continuous conservation efforts.
Fifth DCL Ship:
The Disney Wish is the name of the fifth Disney cruise ship and will be the largest ship in DCL's history! Disney wish is scheduled for delivery in late 2021 and is expected to start sailings in January 2022. The Disney Wish will feature a spirited Rapunzel dangling from her magic hair off the stern of the ship! The three new ships will be roughly 144,000 Gross Registered Tons. D23 attendees got a sneak preview into the vessel's bright three-story atrium inspired by the elements of an enchanted fairytale!
