Carnival 250th Anniversary Cruise Celebration Will Bring Fireworks, Ship Meetups and Patriotic Parties to Sea
Carnival Cruise Line is preparing for a major red, white, and blue celebration as the United States marks its 250th anniversary in 2026.
The cruise line, which is an official America250 partner, is rolling out a full lineup of patriotic programming across its fleet, including ship meetups, fireworks viewing, homeport celebrations, military tributes and special onboard activities. Carnival is also adding a new patriotic crest to the bows of U.S.-based ships featuring the phrase “From Sea to Shining Sea,” beginning with Carnival Magic and Carnival Legend.
Carnival is positioning the celebration as a coast-to-coast tribute, with events planned both onboard and in several homeport communities.
Carnival 250th Anniversary Cruise Celebration Will Include Fireworks and Ship Meetups
The biggest moments will happen on July 4, 2026, when Carnival ships gather for special celebrations on both sides of the country.
On the East Coast, seven Carnival ships are scheduled to meet near Celebration Key, Carnival’s exclusive destination in Grand Bahama, for a special fireworks show. Carnival’s official America’s 250th Birthday page lists the participating ships as Carnival Celebration, Carnival Conquest, Carnival Elation, Carnival Glory, Carnival Sunrise, Carnival Venezia and Carnival Vista.
On the West Coast, Carnival Firenze, Carnival Luminosa and Carnival Radiance are scheduled to meet near San Diego Bay for a front-row view of the Big Bay Boom, which Carnival is sponsoring as the official cruise line sponsor.
What Guests Can Expect Onboard
Carnival’s America250 programming will include patriotic decorations, themed entertainment and special food and drink offerings across the fleet.
Select ships will feature 40-foot patriotic inflatables during embarkation, while ships across the fleet will be decorated with 250th birthday banners and red, white and blue touches.
Guests can also expect:
US YAY! Parties with balloon drops
Patriotic appearances by Dr. Seuss’s Cat in the Hat
Red, White and Blue Deck Parties
Specialty cocktails
Strawberry shortcake
Limited-edition America250 souvenir Coke cans
“America’s Cruisin” beer
Carnival’s official America250 page also notes that participating sailings will include themed entertainment such as patriotic deck parties, dance classes, trivia, live music and special food and drink offerings.

Carnival Will Honor Military Families
Carnival will also recognize military families during the week of July 4.
On each sailing that week, one military family will receive an American flag that was flown over the U.S. Capitol. Veterans and active-duty military sailing during that same period will also receive a special edition military pin.

Homeport Celebrations Are Also Planned
The celebration will extend beyond the ships, with Carnival hosting community events in several homeport cities.
Homeport celebrations are scheduled for:
Date | City | Ship |
June 28, 2026 | Baltimore | Carnival Pride |
June 30, 2026 | Long Beach | Carnival Radiance |
July 2, 2026 | Jacksonville | Carnival Elation |
July 2, 2026 | Tampa | Carnival Paradise |
Carnival is also supporting larger community celebrations in Norfolk, Virginia, San Diego, California, and Miami-Dade County, Florida.
In Norfolk, Carnival is sponsoring the Virginia Sail250 Fireworks Show on June 20. In San Diego, Carnival is connected to the Big Bay Boom on July 4. In Miami-Dade County, Carnival is supporting the Miami-Dade 250 Independence Day Celebration on July 4.
A Fleetwide Patriotic Push
Carnival’s America250 plans come as the cruise line begins placing its new patriotic crest on the bows of U.S.-based ships. The crest features the phrase “From Sea to Shining Sea,” tying the visual update directly to the company’s broader America250 celebration.
The result is a fleetwide patriotic push that stretches from shipboard parties to community events, military recognition and major fireworks moments on both coasts.
For guests sailing during the holiday week, Carnival’s America250 celebration will not be just one event. It will be a full cruise experience built around America’s 250th birthday.
