Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber Is Coming to Galveston With Cruises to Aruba, Curaçao and Veracruz
Margaritaville at Sea is expanding to Texas, with its newest ship, Beachcomber, scheduled to begin sailing from Galveston in October 2027.
The ship will operate four- to seven-night cruises from the Texas homeport, connecting travelers with destinations across the Caribbean,
The Bahamas, Mexico and Central America. Reservations for the newly announced Galveston itineraries are now open.
Margaritaville at Sea says the deployment will feature the most diverse and far-reaching lineup of itineraries available from Galveston, ranging from shorter getaways to longer voyages reaching deeper into the Caribbean.
Where Beachcomber will sail from Galveston
From shorter regional escapes to longer journeys into the Caribbean, Beachcomber’s Galveston itineraries will feature a wide-ranging collection of destinations:
The Bahamas: Bimini and Grand Bahama Island
Mexico: Cozumel, Progreso and Veracruz
Western Caribbean: Belize, Grand Cayman, Montego Bay and Roatán
Southern Caribbean: Aruba and Curaçao
Florida: Key West
Veracruz is a particularly notable addition, bringing a distinctive new Mexican destination to the Galveston cruise market.

More than 15 new experiences aboard Beachcomber
The Galveston deployment will introduce Margaritaville at Sea’s most expansive onboard experience to Texas.
Beachcomber will feature more than 15 experiences created specifically for the ship. These additions will be joined by established Margaritaville venues and concepts, including 5 o’Clock Somewhere, Cheeseburger in Paradise, Hemisphere Dancer and License to Chill.
Together, the venues will expand the cruise line’s collection of dining, entertainment and relaxation experiences while maintaining the casual atmosphere associated with the Margaritaville brand.
Zac Brown’s Same Boat coming to Texas
One of the ship’s principal entertainment venues will be Same Boat, a live-music concept created in collaboration with three-time Grammy Award winner Zac Brown. Promoted by Margaritaville at Sea as the first artist-designed live-music venue on the water, Same Boat is intended to capture the atmosphere and energy of a Zac Brown Band performance. The venue will pair live performances with an elevated cocktail program in a setting influenced by Brown’s music and signature style. Margaritaville at Sea also plans to feature a curated roster of performers selected specifically for the Texas market. Same Boat will give travelers a dedicated place to watch live performances, enjoy drinks, and experience a music program tailored to Beachcomber’s Galveston sailings.
Beachcomber will sail from Miami before moving to Texas
Before repositioning to Galveston, Beachcomber is scheduled to begin sailing from PortMiami in January 2027.
The ship will initially operate four- to eight-night itineraries from Miami to the Eastern and Southern Caribbean. After completing its initial Florida deployment, Beachcomber will reposition to Texas and begin sailing from Galveston in October 2027.
The move will make Margaritaville at Sea more accessible to millions of travelers across Texas and the Central United States while adding another cruise line to one of the country’s largest cruise gateways.
Following Beachcomber’s arrival in Galveston, Margaritaville at Sea will operate three ships:
Beachcomber from Galveston
Islander from Port Tampa Bay
Paradise from Palm Beach
