Princess Cruises announced the sale of the Pacific Princess to an undisclosed Buyer. Pacific Princess specialized in unique sailings, including world cruises. The small ship experience allowed the ship to access the most sought-after destinations that larger ships could not visit due to their size.
Pacific Princess joined the Princess Fleet in 2002 and has become an iconic part of the Fleet. Jan Swartz had this to say about the departure of the beloved ship: "Pacific Princess holds so many memories and cherished experiences to all who sailed upon her. Pacific Princess offered a traditional style of cruising to unique destinations. While it's difficult to say goodbye to our 'Love Boat,' our World Cruise and exotic itineraries continue onboard our Medallion Class-enabled Island Princess and Coral Princess, featuring the best Wi-Fi at sea, allowing guests to keep in touch with loved ones and share vacation memories along the way."
The Pacific Princess sail is part of an ongoing effort to allow Carnival Corporation to reduce cash burn while the company continues to navigate COVID-19.
