Star of the Seas opens for Bookings

Today marks the unveiling of Royal Caribbean International's newest addition to its best-selling Icon Class, the Star of the Seas. Set to embark on its maiden voyage from Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida, in August 2025, the Star of the Seas promises a revolutionary combination of experiences for families and adventurers alike.

Royal Caribbean's loyal Crown & Anchor Society members have been granted exclusive access to book their vacations in advance of the official opening to the public on Wednesday, December 6. The debut lineup for Star of the Seas is now available on the Royal Caribbean website, offering a tantalizing glimpse into the luxuries and adventures that await.

Adventurers will have the opportunity to island-hop in style with 7-night vacations to the Caribbean, featuring visits to exotic destinations such as Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis; Cozumel, Mexico; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Roatan, Honduras; and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Each vacation will culminate in a visit to Royal Caribbean's top-rated private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas.

Perfect Day at CocoCay is a one-of-a-kind private island destination that boasts 13 waterslides, the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean and The Bahamas, and the soon-to-be-opened adults-only oasis, Hideaway Beach, set to open its shores in January 2024. This exclusive retreat will offer vacationers private beaches, pools, cabanas, live music, and a variety of culinary delights.

Star of the Seas, following the success of Icon of the Seas, is set to bring a revolutionary combination of experiences to Port Canaveral for the first time. The ship will feature eight distinct neighborhoods, each a destination in itself, including Thrill Island, Chill Island, AquaDome, and the open-air Central Park.

Among the highlights of the Icon Class on Star of the Seas are the Category 6 waterpark with six record-breaking waterslides, Crown's Edge – a thrilling combination of skywalk, ropes course, and thrill ride – and seven pools catering to every mood, including the adults-only retreat Cloud 17 and The Hideaway's unique infinity pool suspended 135 feet above the ocean.

Star of the Seas promises an unmatched lineup of activities for every age group, including more than 40 dining and drinking options, cutting-edge entertainment on four signature stages – air, ice, water, and theater – and dedicated neighborhoods like Surfside designed for young families.

With the introduction of Star of the Seas, Royal Caribbean doubles down on its commitment to providing a groundbreaking combination of vacation experiences. The simultaneous presence of Icon in Miami and Star in the Orlando area solidifies Royal Caribbean's position at the forefront of the cruise industry, ushering in a new era of unparalleled luxury and adventure. As the cruise line continues to innovate, additional experiences for the world's best family vacation lineup will be revealed at a later date, promising even more excitement for future voyages.
