Trouble on Paradise

Margaritaville at Seas' ship Paradise faced its first issue. On July 13, 2022, she prepared for a two-night sailing to Freeport, Bahamas, only to be placed under a "No Sail Order" by the U.S. Coast Gaurd.

The Coast Gaurd was performing a scheduled annual "Certificate of Compliance" exam, which is performed, every six months during the exam, the ship failed to pass the exam and required the cruise line to address the issues prior to sailing.

Cruise ships operating in the U.S. are required under federal law to have a Certificate of Compliance exam every 6 months. During this ship's annual exam, Port State Control officers identified conditions, which required the ship to stay in port until rectified due to the safety of the crew and passengers. The ship will not sail until the conditions are rectified.

The guests on board disembarked the ship in West Palm Beach on July 14 for problems to be addressed. The ship has since been cleared to sail and will depart West Palm Beach as planned on July 15, 2022, at 5 p.m.

Margaritaville at Sea Paradise will resume sailings today moving forward with its planned departure. On June 13, Margaritaville at Sea worked closely with the United States Coast Guard to implement corrective action following a routine inspection.
Margaritaville At Sea’s top priority is to ensure the safety of our guests and crew members. Margaritaville at Sea is appreciative of our partnership with the USCG and their commitment to aiding and ensuring the safety of all guests and crew members.
Margaritaville at Sea Paradise returns to its regular sailing schedule, departing from the Port of Palm Beach at 5 p.m. today

We applaud Margaritaville at Sea for their quick response to this situation and the swift return to service!
