MSC Cruises has officially entered the Alaska cruise market.
On May 11, 2026, MSC Poesia arrived in Seattle to launch MSC Cruises’ first-ever Alaska season, officially making Seattle the cruise line’s newest U.S. homeport.
The launch marks a major expansion for MSC Cruises in North America as the cruise line continues to grow its U.S. presence with new homeports, upgraded ships, and expanded itineraries.
For cruisers, the Alaska debut also brings several new onboard experiences to MSC Poesia, including MSC Yacht Club, new specialty dining venues, Alaska-inspired culinary offerings, and destination-focused entertainment.
MSC Poesia Will Sail Seven-Night Alaska Cruises From Seattle
MSC Poesia will operate seven-night Alaska cruises from Seattle through September 2026.
The itineraries include visits to:
Ketchikan
Icy Strait Point
Juneau
Victoria, British Columbia
Each sailing also features scenic cruising through Endicott Arm, where guests can experience views of Dawes Glacier and Alaska’s fjord scenery directly from the ship.
MSC Yacht Club Has Officially Been Added To MSC Poesia
One of the biggest additions to MSC Poesia is the MSC Yacht Club.
The exclusive “ship-within-a-ship” concept includes private spaces, elevated service, exclusive amenities, and 24-hour butler service.
The addition continues MSC Cruises’ expansion of MSC Yacht Club across more ships in the fleet as premium cruise demand continues to grow.

New Dining And Alaska-Inspired Menus Are Now Onboard
MSC Cruises also introduced new dining experiences aboard MSC Poesia ahead of the Alaska season.

Expanded seafood offerings
Alaska-inspired cocktails
Regional Pacific Northwest ingredients
The Alaska culinary program was specifically designed for the region and includes warming beverages and locally inspired menu items throughout the voyage.

MSC Poesia’s Alaska Sailings Include New Entertainment
MSC Poesia’s Alaska season also features expanded entertainment and enrichment programming inspired by the destination.
One of the featured productions onboard is “Dirty Dancing: In Concert,” a live-to-film production featuring singers, dancers, and a live band performing alongside the movie.
